As with the majority of Nathan Yong's designs, Elizabeth is both fluid in design and makes the best possible use of natural materials. The impressive structure of the armchair and settee is in black-stained solid ash, creating a welcoming nest in which several cushions in carefully-blended colours and/or covering materials create an intimate and welcome space. Examining this structure closely, the number of constituent elements and the quality of their assembly, one can easily appreciate the amount of work which has gone into its production. In a living room, the settee and armchair will combine just as well with classic pieces as they will with more contemporary items, bringing a warm, 'deco' feel. The innumerable possibilities in terms of colour and/or material associations for the cushions will also guarantee its owner an almost unique piece!
